Joel Steinberg

Joel Steinberg, CPA, is a partner in the individual and fiduciary practice group and specializes in individual taxation compliance and planning. He has spent the past 20 years developing a reputation as an expert in alternative minimum tax, interest deductions, passive activity rules, Internal Revenue Service procedures, and New York State taxation including residency issues. Joel typically works with high net-worth individuals, executives, attorneys, bankers, investment advisors and insurance professionals.

A graduate of Brooklyn College, Joel received his B.S. in Accounting. He continued his education at Pace University Lubin School of Business where he earned his M.S. in Taxation, in 1986. He actively participates in several New York State Society of Certfied Public Accountants Committees including Taxation of Individuals, Relations with the Internal Revenue Service, and the Technical Subcommittee.
